NCES is particularly sensitive to children and adults with learning differences. We have been extremely successful teaching reading with RICHARDS READ Systematic Language to learners with dyslexia, ADD, ADHD, Asperger’s Syndrome, develoPMental delays, and other learning disabilities.
To best serve our clients’ needs, many of our tutors have completed advanced RICHARDS READ training. We require a minimum of 34 hours of special training to become certified to teach RICHARDS READ Systematic Language. Tutors also receive specialized instruction to teach Real Life Ma+h.
We recommend the Academic Fun & Fitness Summer Camp at Lakeland Community College which has been held annually since 2001. Although the special needs children in the camp enjoy learning, we call it an “un-school” camp. It combines learning and fun to produce exciting results. It uses different techniques to help the children become “engaged” in learning, socializing, and playing together. The 2007 camp will be held from June 18th through July 27th.
