Tutors …

With more than 300 degreed professional tutors in Northeast Ohio, NCES has served thousands of clients. We tutor students in every every subject and every grade from pre-school through high school and college. In addition, we tutor adults in specialized general and technical courses.

Every NCES tutor is personally interviewed and evaluated by our Executive Director or Student Services Director. Tutors are selected for sensitivity to student needs, subject knowledge, patience, flexibility, and teaching and communication skills.

Many of our tutors are certified to teach RICHARDS READ Systematic Language and/or Real Life Ma+h.

When selecting a tutor for an individual client, the NCES Director of Student Services carefully considers student needs, subject, personality, and geographic location. Tutors remain with the students as long as needed. When circumstances require a change, different tutors are available.

North Coast Tutoring Tutor of the Year Award

Every year North Coast Tutoring Services selects a Tutor of the Year. The selection is based on achievement, innovation, consistency, and relationships with students.  The Award is presented at the annual picnic, usually held in August. This tradition started in 1999 and has continued ever year since. The name of the recipient is added to a plaque in the North Coast Tutoring office lobby, and the recipient is presented with an attractive wood plaque.
