In the summer and fall of each year, we host a number of free information sessions where we present the tutoring opportunities that will be available for the upcoming school year.

There are no exceptions to Zoom Meeting attendance, and no additional sessions are scheduled at this time. These are no-obligation information sessions.
TUTORING OPPORTUNITIES
WHAT: We provide tutoring to children (all ages) and adults in all subjects. We are an approved provider to the Ohio Autism and Jon Peterson Scholarships.
WHEN: Set your own schedule Monday through Sunday. Many daytime opportunities are available; some after school, evening, and weekend opportunities. (Tutors work 4 to 20 hours per week, depending on their availability, location, and skills.)
WHERE: Face-to-face, Virtual (limited), and both.
# 1 Licensed ODE Teachers and Intervention Specialists for academic tutoring to children on the Jon Peterson and Autism Scholarships. Experience with special education is highly recommended.
# 2 Licensed ODE Intervention Specialists to supervise/support our Scholarship tutors and clients.
#3. Bachelor Degreed Tutors to provide academic tutoring to children on the Autism Scholarship.
#4. Associate Degree or Equivalent – Instructional Assistant Permit to assist students on the Autism Scholarship under supervision.
# 5. School District Home Instruction: ODE Licensed Teachers and Intervention Specialists. All subjects needed – a priority for high school math and science.
# 6. Tutor Basic Language Arts: phonics, spelling, comprehension (fiction and nonfiction), and writing skills. (Workshop training required)
# 7. Tutor basic math (computation skills, math concepts, and word problems). (Workshop training required)
# 8. Tutor high school math (all levels of Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, Statistics, and Functions) for scholarship and private clients.
# 9. Tutor high school science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Astronomy) for scholarship and private clients.
# 10. SAT and ACT test preparation – Experience with the ACT and the SAT is required.
# 11. Tutor foreign language; Limited Availability — Spanish, ESL, French, Italian
(German, Latin, and Chinese, and others occasionally)
#12. Guitar Tutor to give guitar lessons, work on songwriting and poetry virtually. ODE Instructional Assistant Permit allowed, does not need to be an ODE licensed teacher. We will assist with the licensure process.
#13. Small group instruction in basic reading and math. Must be an ODE licensed teacher. (Workshop training required)
#14. Occupational Therapy, Occupational Therapy Assistants needed. Must be licensed.
#15 Speech Therapy … Must be licensed.
Tutor Qualifications for an NCES Referral

- Ohio Department of Education teacher licensure, BCBA, OT, OT Assistant, or Speech licensure.
- Basic math or language arts referrals require workshop training (Explained at Zoom meeting. With COVID, we have a new training structure.)
- You must be proficient in the subject matter, without needing to “brush up.”
